Welcome to Part 3, the final instalment of my Moonlit Flora series!

Over the past two posts, we've explored how versatile the Moonlit Flora Suite Collection can be. We started with quick and simple cards that let the Designer Series Paper shine, then added extra layers to create more depth while keeping the layouts easy to recreate.

For this final part, we're taking those same layouts one step further by introducing a few extra techniques. These aren't difficult techniques, but they add another level of detail and dimension that gives each card its own unique personality.

Building on the Same Layout

One of the things I've loved about creating this series is showing that you don't need to start from scratch every time you want a different look. Both of these cards use the same layered foundation as Part 2, but by changing a few design elements, they each have their own style.

It's a great reminder that getting more from your supplies often comes from experimenting with different techniques rather than buying more products.

Card One

For the first card, I started with a Secret Sea card base before adding a narrow Basic White mat and a layer of Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper.

The centre panel was built using Secret Sea cardstock layered with Basic White and raised with Stampin' Dimensionals to create extra depth.

The real feature of this card is the large fern die cut. After cutting it from Basic White cardstock, I coloured it using Light and Dark Peaceful Pine Stampin' Blends, blending the colours together to give the leaves a natural look.

A large gold butterfly creates a beautiful focal point, while the Golden Glow sentiment banner and light green embellishments complete the design.

Card Two

The second card begins with a Peaceful Pine card base using the same layered layout as the first.

This time, instead of colouring the die-cut fern, I added colour and texture to the centre panel by blending Stampin' Blends onto the cardstock before lightly stamping the lined image from the stamp set over the top. This subtle tone-on-tone effect creates interest without competing with the Designer Series Paper.

I then layered the detailed gold butterfly over the solid gold butterfly before placing it over the fern, creating an elegant focal point that really stands out against the darker background.

The card was finished with a Golden Glow sentiment banner and coordinating adhesive-backed embellishments.

Small Techniques, Big Impact

Although these cards use many of the same products as the previous projects in this series, the extra techniques completely change their appearance.

Colouring a die cut, adding subtle background stamping, layering embellishments and raising panels with Dimensionals are all simple techniques on their own. Combined, they create cards with extra depth, texture and interest without making the project feel overwhelming.

It's a wonderful reminder that you can often achieve a completely different look by changing how you use your supplies rather than changing the supplies themselves.
