Pedal To the Metal with the Stone 3D embossing Folder

This is not a stamp set that I would usually purchase - HOWEVER, I do love to challenge myself with designs that may be a little out of my comfort zone. After all, that's how we flex our creative muscles and grow right?

I am so glad that I pushed myself to use this set.

I have used the Stone 3D embossing folder with this card - it is a free gift that you can get right now with the amazing Power of Hope Stamp set. Sale-a-Bration is the BEST.

To get the cool background I just inked up the embossing folder randomly with my memento ink (important as it doesn't stain) and then used a piece of whisper white to run it through my die cutting machine.

I stamped the Bike on a piece of whisper white and then cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Die - the largest Square. Once I cut it out then I added the sentiment as it was easier to line it up after I cut it.

I used my Night of Navy Blends to colour in the motorbike and the light basic black blends for the wheels.

I then popped these up on dimensionals and added it to my card.

I hope that you like my masculine bike card today that was totally out of my comfort zone! I hope it gives you some ideas for your Stone 3D embossing folder too.

If you can leave me a comment below that would be AWESOME.

  3. I CASED this card today because I loved the background image and I love the Pedal on the Medal stamp set. Anything with motorcycles peaks my interest. It took me a minute to figure out how to do it because I defaulted to my standard technique of ink to embossing folder. But it didn't look like yours! I stared at it and then a light bulb went on. You embossed and THEN applied the swipes of the ink pad. Mine looked so much like yours then. I made three cards. One for each image because I had so many prototypes .

On a side note. I'm happy to see that you use Blogger. I've been considering scrapping my Blogger blog and trying something else because I didn't feel like Blogger was good enough. By the looks of your pages.... yep, it's good enough. I just have to learn to master it as you have.
