CONGRATS | Using the Lined Alphabet Bundle

Our Friends Mark and Melanie came over about a month ago and told us some EXCITING news - they were having twins!

This was a photo we took of them after they surprised us.

Melanie made this card for us. In case you can't read the text, here is what it says;

'The only thing better than having you as best friends,
is our babies having you for an AUNTIE and UNCLE.
Surprise! We're pregnant with TWINS!'

We were thrilled for them. I walked into the stamp room and gave them a card that I had (it was a few years old but was the only baby card we had). We wanted to make a card because we were so excited for them. So, that night, we stayed up and made it! Here it is;

So, here is some background......THEY ARE HAVING IDENTICAL TWINS! At the time they told us, they didn't know what Gender the baby was. So, this congratulations card was both boy and girl (ie. blue and pink). Here were the two SU colours I used;
I started with a full piece of thick whisper white card stock. For the height of the card, I simply scored in half long-ways.

I love this bundle of products. I cut out all of the letters, alternating between Whisper White, Blueberry Bushel and Melon Mambo. For each of the layers in Whisper White, I stamped the letters alternating in Blueberry Bushel and Melon Mambo. This is a photopolymer stamp set so it is easy to line up with the cut out piece. If you buy the stamp set and the framelits together as a bundle, you will SAVE 10%!

TIP - For each letter, I started with a piece of card stock 7.5cm x 10.5cm. Also, I cut out the letter as close to the right of the piece as possible.

I assembled the letters together with tomboy and trimmed the assembled word with a 7mm border around the top, bottom and left of the card. This left some space on the right of the card to add the little creatures.

I white embossed two of the images from the 'A Little Wild' stamp set and cut out using the coordinating framelits. As you will be aware, these images are two sided so i just trimmed the back side off. I stuck these down with dimensionals.

This was so much fun to make for out friends! We ended up giving this card to our friends at their Gender Reveal party. We made some other cute little projects for that party too, which I will share with you soon.
