Soft Sea Foam is such a lovely colour for creating a soft and peaceful card, and for this project I paired it with Basic Beige, Basic White and just a little shimmer.

I really love how all the layers work together on this card. The foliage is simple, the colours are subtle, and the Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper adds a beautiful bit of sparkle without overpowering the design.

Adding a little shimmer to the card base

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card base and covered the entire card front with a piece of Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper.

This specialty paper is white with silver glitter lines running through it, and it adds such a lovely texture to the background. Because I cut it to the full size of the card front, you can see the shimmer peeking out around the main stamped panel.

Creating the foliage panel

For the focal layer, I added a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and then layered Basic White over the top.

I stamped the foliage image onto the Basic White cardstock using Basic Beige ink. To help position the stamped image where I wanted it, I used the Stampin' Positioner tool.

Once the stamping was finished, I coloured the leaves with Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. Using the same soft green as the card base helped keep the whole design looking coordinated and understated.

Finishing with a simple sentiment

The “So happy together” sentiment is from the Summer Happiness Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Basic Beige and adhered it to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Raising the sentiment gives the card just a little extra dimension while still keeping the overall design clean and simple.

This was a quick and easy stamping project, and I love the combination of the soft foliage, subtle neutral stamping and those sparkling silver stripes in the background.
