This week I’m diving into the Pop-Up Petals Bundle, and honestly, I’m buzzing to share what I’ve been creating.
I already have five projects lined up and each one has its own vibe, but today’s card was the unexpected hero of the bunch.
I started with a Grey Granite card base and built a soft textured background by stamping repeatedly along the bottom. There’s something so calming about that tone on tone look. I reached for my pencils to colour the flower and leaves in Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana. That soft pencil finish gives such a pretty, gentle effect.
For the main panel, I used the Branching Out layering dies. The base layer is Timid Tiger, the top is Basic White, and I stamped the flower and sentiment in Tuxedo Black. Then I brought out the Stampin Blends for the rose, blending Timid Tiger with Summer Splash. The colours really lifted the whole card in a way I didn’t expect.
You know those cards that just quietly become your favourite without trying too hard? This is one of those. I hope it inspires you to play with pencils, muted bases, and a little pop of colour this week.
