Creating Under the Moon – A Card That Comes to Life 🌙

This week we’ve been celebrating standalone stamp sets, and today I’m excited to share a project using the Peaceful View Stamp Set. This set is perfect for creating serene backgrounds or a standout focal point on your cards. It features a large, detailed scene with a tree, fence, and bird, giving you plenty of ways to customise for any occasion.

For today’s card, I started with a Basic White piece of cardstock and used a circle of masking paper to plan where the “moon” would sit. I then blended Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Misty Moonlight, and Secret Sea inks to create a deep, moody sky. When I peeled back the mask, the blended colours created a truly magical moonlit effect.

Next, I lined the cardstock on my Misti and stamped the Peaceful View image in Tuxedo Black. The Misti made it easy to restamp any spots that needed extra coverage. After trimming the piece and mounting it on Secret Sea cardstock with dimensionals, I added a simple sentiment from the Simply Said Stamp Set, embossed in white for a crisp finish.

The finished card is a dramatic, peaceful scene that turned out exactly as I envisioned — a reminder that sometimes crafting experiments really do match the vision in your head.

What do you think? Would you try using the Peaceful View Stamp Set to create a serene scene on your next card?
