Branching Out in Style: The Colourful Blackboard Technique πŸŒΏπŸŽ¨πŸ–€

I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with the Branching Out Bundle, and my very first project with it really stole the show. One glance at those nesting dies and I knew they were going to be a must-have in my collection — and they did not disappoint!

For this card, I wanted to take one of the sentiments from the stamp set and give it a bold, playful twist. When I showed Bruno, he squinted at it for ages, trying to figure out how I achieved those vibrant, colourful sentiments. Once I explained the process, he gave it a name that stuck: the Colourful Blackboard Technique!

This technique is perfect for a fun, teenage card — vibrant, a little edgy, and full of personality. It’s inspired by the classic Joseph’s Coat Technique, but with a twist that gives the sentiment a unique, eye-catching effect.

I love how versatile this approach is. You can play with different colours, sentiments, and layering styles to create a card that’s truly your own.

So here’s a question for you: how do you think this technique works? Could you see yourself trying it in your next project?
