✂️ Crafting a Slide and Lock, Double Accordion Gatefold | Extraordinary Flora 🌿

For the third project in my Extraordinary Flora series, I wanted to share something interactive and fun — a Slide-and-Lock Fun Fold card! This clever design not only looks amazing but also adds a playful twist that will delight the recipient. ✨

I started with a piece of thick Basic White cardstock and created a double-accordion gatefold as the base of the card. This gave me the perfect foundation for the locking mechanism. To create the “lock,” I reached for one of the arches from the Everyday Arches die collection. It works brilliantly as a sliding piece that holds the card securely closed.

The real magic happened on the front panels. I applied the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape right across both panels before cutting down the center. That way, when the card is closed, the floral image is perfectly aligned across the gatefold. It gives such a polished and striking look without any extra effort — win!

On camera, I walked through each step of how this card came together. It’s one of those projects that’s so much easier to understand when you see it in action. So, instead of me explaining every little fold and layer here, I’d love for you to watch the replay of the live recording. 🎥

This project is a great example of how versatile the Extraordinary Flora products are. From background stamping to washi cut-outs, and now a fun fold, there are so many ways to let these florals shine. 💬

Have you ever tried a Slide-and-Lock card before? If not, would you give this fun fold a go? Drop your thoughts in the comments — I’d love to hear! 🌿
