Let's dive into our latest project and get inspired to create a vibrant card that captures the essence of the season.
The Project
The Watercolor Melon Stamp Set is a summer essential, offering nine photopolymer stamps designed for creating stunning watercolor effects. With its unique Distinktive texture and Two-Step Stampin' capabilities, this set makes it easy to layer colors and textures for beautifully detailed creations.
We started our project with a calypso coral card base and added a piece of DSP from the Softly Stippled DSP collection, a FREE Sale-A-Bration item. Using Parakeet Party ink, we stamped the melon image, adding Granny Apple Green and Old Olive for depth. After stamping and punching out nine melons, we arranged them on the card base in a repetitive pattern.
To complete the card, we stamped the melon flesh with Sweet Sorbet ink and added Granny Apple Green for the rind before fussy cutting each piece. A sentiment from the Perennial Postage Stamp Set stamped onto Basic White cardstock and punched out with the Modern Oval Punch added the perfect finishing touch.
