Crafting Citrus Joy: Filled with Happiness Stamp Set and Team Swap Extravaganza!

Greetings, fellow crafters! Today, I'm thrilled to share the creative journey behind a card featuring the delightful Filled with Happiness Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! This versatile set of 7 photopolymer stamps is perfect for expressing gratitude, spreading cheer, or simply sending warm wishes in a modern font style. Let's dive into the crafting process that brought this burst of happiness to life.

Crafting Citrus Vibes

I selected a stamp featuring a citrus fruit, inspiring me to stick to a vibrant citrus color palette. Choosing the lively "Lemon Lolly" yellow, I cut a card base, adding a pop of brightness to the foundation. To enhance the design, I picked a bold patterned paper available in every colour carried by Stampin' Up!, adhering it to the card base.

Creating a Retro Flair

For a touch of nostalgia, I added layers of Basic Black and Lemon Lolly, creating a retro photo effect. This not only added depth but also highlighted the citrus theme, setting the stage for the focal point of the card.

Stamping and Embellishing

Onto the Lemon Lolly layer, I stamped the citrus image using Versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. This added a glossy, raised effect, enhancing the visual appeal. I then stamped the same image using Tuxedo Black ink, punched an inner oval with the Modern Oval punch, and colored it with Stampin' Blends. This colored and embossed piece became the vibrant centerpiece.

Twine and Angled Placement

To add a touch of texture, I incorporated twine in the same Lemon Lolly color, elevating the overall design. Placing the feature piece at a fun angle added a dynamic flair, making the card visually interesting.

Team Swap Extravaganza

I was so enamored with this creation that I decided to turn it into a team swap!

What's a team swap, you ask? Our team organizes swaps during significant crafting events, such as new catalogue launches.

Instead of sticking to a single color scheme, I crafted variations in shades of greens, yellows, and oranges, staying true to the citrus theme. The Stampin' Up! colors featured include Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party, Lemon Lime Twist, and Granny Apple Green.
