Hi Crafty Friends! It's Kylie here! I'm absolutely thrilled to share some simple projects featuring the stunning Gorgeous Garden Dies. These dies are gorgeous and its so simple to create a striking background!
Project 1: Lush Leaves Greeting Card
For our first project, let's dive into the lush world of leaves!
I've used the Leaves Die from the Gorgeous Garden set to create a vibrant and refreshing greeting card. The Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, reminiscent of our gorgeous Aussie flora, was the perfect choice for these intricate leaf shapes.
After die-cutting, I carefully adhered them onto a backdrop of Pretty Peacock cardstock, creating a beautiful contrast that truly makes those leaves pop!
The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set and cut out with a coordinating die from the Wonderful Thoughts dies. I then adhered to a piece of cardstock from the Nested Essentials Dies (these are a MUST HAVE).
Project 2: Floral Card
Our second project blooms with elegance and charm.
I've taken the Flowers Die from the Gorgeous Garden set and crafted a captivating card. Im all about simple. Starting with crisp white cardstock, I die-cut the intricate floral design. To bring these blooms to life, I used Moody Mauve Stampin' Blends. I then adhered to a piece of paper from the Masterfully Made DSP collection and then onto a coordinating Pretty Peacock card base.
The sentiment is from a stamp set called Kindest Expressions. I stamped it using Versamark and then White Embossed using a heat tool. I then cut out and adhered to the card base.
Tips from Me:
- Precision in Cutting: When using intricate dies like these, a reliable die-cutting machine is your best friend. Take your time, and don't rush the process for clean and precise cuts every time.
- Blending Brilliance: When colouring die-cut elements, like our stunning flowers, take a gradual approach with alcohol markers like Stampin' Blends. Start with light layers and build up the color slowly for a seamless, professional finish.
- Colour Coordination: One of the joys of Stampin' Up is our beautiful color coordination! The Pretty Peacock cardstock and Designer Series Paper create a harmonious backdrop for our Gorgeous Garden creations.
