Thank You | Spring Blessings | Not My Typical Project

FULL DISCLOSURE - This project is not one I would typically make! In fact, the Spring Blessings Stamp set is not one I would typically use. This is a stamp set that we would purchase, with every intention that we would use ..... but then never use it and then it retired. Surprisingly, I really like the end result. Here it is.

I know - its FULL ON! How did I get to the end result? Here is the process;

From a previous project, I had the flowers and more MEGA Host DSP Pack on my desk. I saw this sheet and that was the starting point for my project.

The colours on this sheet are Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Sorbet and Crushed Curry. So, that is the colour palette.

I picked Blackberry Bliss as the card base and then added a layer of Kraft (it was at attempt to Neutralise all of the colours - im not sure it worked! hahahahaha). I then adhered the DSP to the Kraft.

Next, I stamped the 'flower girls.' I couldn't decide which of the colours their dress would be ..... so using Stampin' Blends, I used ALL of them and created a 'tie-dyed' style dress. I fussy-cut them out and adhered them to the card with dimensionals.

Then, I stamped the flower garland. Again, I wasn't sure what colour to colour them ...... and then I saw the sample on page 19 which had some of the Loose Daisy Embellishments ..... so instead of colouring them, I just fussy-cut the garland and adhered to the card. Then, I adhered a daisy over each of the stamped flowers using a glue dot.

I needed a sentiment, so I stamped it using Blackberry Bliss on a piece of Basic White and then trimmed to size and adhered to the card.

Like I said, it's not a card I would typically make - but I quite like the end result. What do you think? Is this stamp set in your collection yet? It's available to purchase right now (see links below).
