Oh WOW! Abstract Beauty is ...... BEAUTIFUL!

Now, let me tell you about todays project.....first up - here it is!

When I first saw the catalogue, there was one sample that immediately caught my eye (actually, there were many samples that caught my eye, but one of them made me think 'I am going to make that one.' This is the page from the catalogue.

The sample made me think of all things 80's (I cant exactly think of why, but it did). So, I made my project with Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana. But, how did I create it? Well, I cut out each of the small diamonds (I cut out a total of 45 diamonds, 15 in each colour) and assembled them into hexagons (but due to the colours it actually looks like a cube). As you can see, the die cuts our two diamonds at a time. Here is the Beautiful Shapes die collection (click on the image below to see it in my Online Store;

At the time of making this project, I didnt have the Hello Beautiful stamp set that coordinates (but I do now). So, for the sentiment, I used the BEAUTIFUL sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set. I cut it out using the die from the Beautiful Shapes die collection. If you look closely at the image below, you can see that the die has an embossed image around the outside.
