TGCDT: October 2021 | Suit and Tie

Hi There and thanks so much for stopping by today. Its Bruno here im participating in the monthly design team blog hop for TGCDT - The Gentleman Crafters Design Team (all of the members are from around the world and are ..... MALE!).

Today I am featuring two projects for some of our friends. It was so much fun to make them - and they are in the likeness of the people we are giving them to! Here is the first one;

This is a double size card! I started with a full sheet of card stock and scored in the middle (I used Thick Basic White). Honestly - this die collection makes it SUPER easy! The suit is in Night of Navy (this is the colour the recipient typically wears) and the tie is made from a piece of the Blackberry Beauty DSP and the shirt is from the Pansy Petals DSP (also, VERY similar to a shirt the recipient wears).

How cool is the 'lace' collar on the right? It is using dies from the Encircled in Beauty collection. The 'blouse' is also from the Blackberry Beauty DSP collection. In the Suit and Tie collection, the buttons and button front are so cool. Here is a closer look at the card;

We have another couple that we wanted to celebrate an accomplishment. I had so much fun making the card above, that I made another card for them. So, here it is;

Our friend always wears a grey suit. And, he LOVES wearing bow ties with coordinating pocket squares. The suit is in Basic Grey and the tie is made from a piece of the Blackberry Beauty DSP and the shirt is from the Pansy Petals DSP (also, VERY similar to a shirt the recipient wears). On the right, our friend is wearing a Just Jade jacket with a top made from Gorgeous Grape DSP. The circles cut at the neck are using the Layering Circles. Here is a closer look at this card;

Honestly, I had SOOO MUCH FUN making these cards!It was fun looking for products that fit the personalities and styles of our friends and when I look at them now, it is so close to looking like them! I hope they like them!

As mentioned, this is a blog hop! Make sure you hop around to all of the other participants to check out their AWESOME projects!

  2. Wonderful cards, Bruno. It will mean more than you know to the recipients that you pay close enough attention to personalize the cards like this.
