TGCDT: September 2021 | For You with the Peaceful Cabin Bundle

Hi There and thanks so much for stopping by today. Its Bruno here im participating in the monthly design team blog hop for TGCDT - The Gentleman Crafters Design Team (all of the members are from around the world and are ..... MALE!).

Today I am featuring a project that I dreamed of when I first saw this bundle. And, it finished up to be very close to the image in my head. Here it is;

Where we live, we don't get snow. Lots of the samples for this suite are very winter-centric and I wanted to try to make something a little less wintery.

Before I go on, I just have to say something - I LOVE CORK specialty paper. The cork was a perfect backdrop to the house scene!

I stamped the house onto Very Vanilla card stock using Crumb Cake and cut out using the coordinating die. Using the AMAZING blending brushes, I added some shading to give a dusty mountain feel.

I stamped the trees using Early Espresso and cut out using the coordinating die. I mounted this slightly higher to give the impression of some depth. Once again, I added some shading to give a dusty mountain feel.

I then mounted this onto the cork and mounted this onto a piece of Cinnamon Cider and then mounted this onto a Cinnamon Cider card base.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and heat embossed using White embossing powder. I cut this out (using scissors) and mounted onto the card as shown.

I loved making this card, I loved using these GORGEOUS products and hope you like it too! Let me know what you think in the comments below.

The cork is ..... wow! I had so much fun using this on a recent video. In case you missed the video, click on the image below to see the video now.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this card on your blog. Interesting how we see things in other parts of the world.
