Floral Squares | I'm Here For You

Hi there and thanks so much for stopping by today - we are so happy you are here! Its Bruno here and I wanted to share a project I made along with the inspiration I took for making this project.

When I first received the annual catalogue a few months back and I saw the Floral Squares die collection, I immediately thought of a piece of art by Andy Warhol featuring Marilyn Monroe.

So, I wanted to make a card based on the equivalent Stampin' Up! colours used in this piece of art. Here is what I ended up with;

Honestly, the combination of all of these colours are not colours that I would typically put together. But, I think as a whole, it seems to work. I used ...... FOURTEEN COLOURS on this project!

I selected one of the four square dies and cut them out in the following colours;

I mounted them onto cardstock in the following colours

Next, I cut out some flowers in the following and mounted them on top of the cardstock

Finally, I mounted these pieces onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then mounted this onto a Thick Basic White card base (there is already enough colours on the card!)

For the sentiment, I was looking for something very simple and plain. I found something in the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set and I really like the 'I'm here for you' sentiment in simple old-style 'typewriter' font. I stamped it using Memento black (this stamp set is available in the upcoming July-December catalogue).

This die collection is available stand-alone as well as in a coordinating bundle. If you need to add it to your collection, you can get them from our online store now (see shopping links below). Thanks so much for stopping by today!
