Hi There and thanks so much for stopping by today. Its Bruno here im participating in the monthly design team blog hop for TGCDT - The Gentleman Crafters Design Team (all of the members are from around the world and are ..... MALE!)
The other day, I shared a project with you using the Sending Sunshine stamp set. I mentioned at the outset that when stamp sets retire, I tend to have not used the 'scene' stamp sets for some reason. Today, I am using one of the 'scene' stamp sets (Seaside View) - here it is!
I had ALOT of fun colouring this! I used Stampin' Blends to colour this - they are so good to use and blend together! I stamped the image using Memento Black onto a piece of Shimmery White card stock. I used every blue (both light and dark) for the water. I laid them all out from darkest to lightest and blended every colour together - I love how this looks! For the sky, I used a tiny bit of light Seaside Spray and then used the colour lifter to lighten the look. I coloured the rest of the image with blends - if you haven't started your collection, why not start now?
I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out a frame in Misty Moonlight and then another frame in Whisper White. I ran the white frame through the embossing machine using the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. I then adhered the coloured piece and the two frames to a Thick Whisper White card base.
For the sentiment, I stamped using Versamark and used the heat tool to white emboss. I cut this out and adhered to the card base.
I really like how this card turned out and was happy to use a stamp set that I probably wouldn't have used before!
Make sure you visit all of projects on the blog hop.
