Here is todays project;

I started with a Gray Granite card base. I picked this as I had a piece of Designer Series Paper that I wanted to use. The paper is from the Peony Garden DSP collection. I trimmed (Poppy Parade size if using our Card Templates) allowing for a small border and mounted this to the card base.

For the hippo, I stamped the image onto a piece of Whisper White. The hippo is actually three-step stamping (its from the Hippo Happiness stamp set) and I used Gray Granite for all three layers (I love this effect). I cut it out using the coordinating die.

The AMAZING thing about the Hippo and Friends die collection is the AMAZING variety! There are dies that cut out the stamped images. There are also beautiful dies that are perfect for sentiments and framing pieces - a total of 25 dies! Check them all out below;

I used two of the dies to create a frame from some Whisper White card stock. I mounted this onto a different piece of DSP from the Peony collection using dimensionals.

How cool is the sentiment? It is taken from the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set. This set contains amazing graphic sentiment images. I stamped this onto a piece of Whisper White and 'fussy-cut' this and mounted onto a torn piece of Gray Granite using dimensionals. I mounted the hippo with a piece of the shimmery ribbon using dimensionals. LOVE IT!!!

For the inside of the card, I used the same stamp set and played around with first, second and third generation stamping (ie. stamping without reapplying ink in-between).
