I have noticed how up-cycling and making your own home decor is getting very popular. I finished a jar of kalamata olives tonight and thought - PERFECT opportunity to make something fun out of that beautiful glass jar. Plus I had to do #loveitchopit of course... :)

I used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper on my jar - with a belly band using the left over pieces of the chop. I have a video below so you can see exactly how easy it was to put together.

I love that the lid even has the flower on it - you could use some Crystal effects to seal the lid if you wanted to.

The hardest thing was getting the labels off - however I had some great suggestions passed on to me - you can use eucalyptus oil to get off the label or this one from April Taylor - Mix cooking oil with baking soda to make a paste. If possible remove label so just the glue is left. Spread mix all over the glue and let set at least 1 hour. Rinse & wash jar.

Super handy tips!

The other one that I made is a cute little vase for my fake flowers to go in.

I even found a place for it in my craft room - this is a piece I got from K-Mart and is really nice for making the room modern and fresh.

Here is a video that I made showing how easy it is to dress up these glass jars.

Thank you so much for coming by today! 5. What a great idea! I have to admit that I don't often have spare jar, as they get refilled with homemade jams from our garden produce, but I might have to put one aside and give this a go. Lx
