My favourite Global Design Project challenge! A sketch challenge!! I find creating with a sketch the best way for me to create a card fast. It always just seems to come together effortlessly. Which I am telling you is such a great feeling when it does. Today I thought I would sent myself a different challenge on top of the sketch. Let's have a look at the sketch first and I will explain more -
So the challenge I set for myself was to use a colour that I NEVER use. Yup, it was time to find out what cardstock I have that needed to be dusted before using it. It was Elegant Eggplant for me! Here is my card -
I am not a purple girl at all - and so this was a great challenge for me to try out. I did a few interpretations of the sketch and added the flower as the Circle and the smaller bloom as the heart. I also added strips of cardstock rather than the one thicker strip.
I adore the Birthday Blooms embossed in white on the Elegant Eggplant - doesn't it pop! I also used my Elegant eggplant marker to add a few highlights around the centre and the petals.
That gorgeous thank you sentiment is from the Sale-a-Bration set called What I love. Stunning!
I really hope that you get to play along with us over at the Global Design Project this week - we are having a blast over there - so much support and so many playing along. Just love it!
Beautiful!! I love the colors ans the highlights with the marker ;)
