OSAT Blog Hop - No Rules

Welcome to January's No Rules One Stamp at a time Blog Hop. This is my first time playing along with the One Stamp at a time Blog Hop and I am thrilled to be part of. You may be starting here in the blog hop or may have come from my husband Bruno's Blog. Don't forget to click on the next button at the bottom of this post to continue on to Wynne Grob's post.

It's not often that I do a project as well as a card, so this blog hop is quite a challenge for me - especially when I saw Bruno's project! It is so beautiful I just felt like everything I was doing wasn't good enough. He sets the standard very high in this household. After a bit of frustration and LOTS of playing around - I finally created something that I am really happy with.

I had fun making this co-ordinating Card and special gift. Do you know what the box is? You will need to read on to find out!

Here is the card - I kept it very simple - my type of card, and added a strip of the Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack and also the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. I added the gorgeous Linen thread as it went so well with the Crumb Cake Cardstock and paper.
Lastly I added a sentiment from the Suite Sayings Stamp set and embossed it. You can see I added a bit on the inside too. Dressing the card on the inside is very special.

Here is the special gift box! It is an origami box for embellishments! Let's take of the gorgeous Wildflower Fields belly band and have a look inside.

How adorable is this! The length of the box is 21cm and each of the little boxes inside are around 3cm x 3cm each. Each one of them were individual made too. It was a bit of trial and error and I had to change the sizes a bit to fit as the Stampin' Up!® paper is much thicker than most Origami paper - but I got there in the end.

It surprising fit lots of embellishments in it! Wouldn't this be a beautiful gift to receive?

I hope that you liked my first projects with One Stamp at a time Blog Hop. If you would like to get updates when I make a new project by email you can click here to register.

  5. Hi Kylie, welcome to the OSAT hop!

What a fab project, I've never seen an origami embellishment gift box before. Terrific way you added the linen thread against that dsp, I had to look at it a bit before I realized you didn't wrap all of that with thread, very pretty illusion :)

  7. Thank you Kylie for giving me inspiration to bring my cards down. I put so much on my cards, here you are showing me that it's okay to pull back on product but still have a brilliant card. The thread looks amazing I am going to give this a try myself as I normally only use ribbon. The box is fab, would you be kind and make a video tutorial for the set please.
