Global Design Project #020 | CASE the designer - Connie Collins

What an amazing week over at the Global Design Project! We hit over 100 entries for the first time. That is a milestone worth celebrating and it is only because of all of you who are taking part and supporting us. We are all so thrilled!

This week we are CASEing Connie Collins. CASE meaning - Copy and Selectively Edit.

I looked at Connie's stunning card and straight away was taken by the stripes and the hearts. These became the inspiration for my card. But of course there are many other things that may be inspiring you with your design!

Here is what I came up with -

Where did i get the colours from you may be asking? Aren't they fun?? Well it actually came from a beach dress that I happen to be wearing around the house today! lol. This one! Yes the cocktail was delicious. hahaha.

Isn't it great where we can get inspiration from? So I didn't measure the strips of cardstock just eyeballed the sizes that I wanted. I then cut out a spot for my sentiment and silly me.... the Big shot plate created all sorts of marks on my card that I didn't want there! I was pretty devs... (thats how the young people say devastated these days, and I am holding onto my youth) But then I had a brain wave! I'll emboss it - and this Chevron Embossing Folder. I love that it is running in the opposite direction to the lines. The It's my Party Enamel Dots and the candy dots were a great addition and lots of fun. The sentiment is from my favourite sentiment set of all time - Suite Sayings. I did this in Night of Navy.

Thank you for coming by! Make sure you head over the the Global Design Project for more amazing inspiration from our designers this week. Thank you once again for all of your support.
