Freshly Made Sketches | Fabulous Four

The minute I saw the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week, I knew I was playing along. Wasn't sure of what I wanted to do - but I knew that inspiration wouldn't be far away with such a great sketch.

I made this card for a friend of mine who has put so much work into organising a progressive dinner tomorrow night. I am so excited about it! There will be 16 of us that swap places for entree, main and dessert and go different places for each meal. It is also after 5 attire - so I had better think about what I am going to wear! I will be sure to include some photos of our fun evening.

I have designed the frame to go around the gorgeous Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. I was going to do this in black - but decided to push myself and really mix things up and throw two patterns together that were meant to be. Sometimes it feels good to not play it safe right?

You can see that I have a very thin layer behind the watermelon wonder - you know the best and easiest way I have found to glue this? Check out this tip below.

Raising the frame gives it even more interest without it being busy. The Sentiment is from the Fabulous Four set and went perfectly with this sketch. I embossed this in Black.

Here is a tip when using dimensionals that you more than likely already know... but just in case!

Feel free to pin this idea if it is something new to you!

How pretty are these colours together? Stricking yet gorgeous!
