New Video: Stampin' Up! Kusudama Japanese Origami Ball

I LOVE the new in colours - and I wanted to make something using the new Designer Series Paper Stack. I love Japan and studied Japanese from the age of six - I am not fluent but the language is something very natural to me as I was a child when I started to learn it.

Bruno and I got to visit Japan in 2009 and we really enjoyed it - I hope we return again one day as it is an incredible place to see. I am so inspired by the Japanese art of paper craft. Origami is so beautiful and so clever! So I googled ideas for origami and found something I just HAD to try.

And here is my Kusudama Ball -

There are 30 pieces of 6"x6" papers used to make this so if you are a paper hoarder - this is the project for you!

Watch my tutorial and feel free to rewind and go back so that you don't miss a step.
All up there 21 folds each piece so you need to pay attention!

If you have any questions please ask - I cover mostly everything in the video - but there may be other things that come up for you. You will need to set aside a few hours - but this is something that you could do at different times not all in one go.

Here is my tutorial, let me know what you think as its my first one done this way - I am so excited about it.

    1. Thanks Brian - yes it was time consuming for sure! But sooooo worth it. Getting that last piece to fit was felt as rewarding at a 10,000 piece puzzle. :-)
