Thank you for joining us in our Hawaii Grand achievers blog hop this month!
This month we are excited to show off new Stampin’ Up! products from the just released 2015/2016 Annual Catalogue that is being paired with something we had previously in the Catalogue. The theme is Perfect Pairing. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Kylie Bertucci or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting me - Kylie Bertucci.
Here is the card that I made for our blog hop -
I love the combination of colours used in this card - it is fun - without going over the top.
My Perfect pair - New items used are the Dots for Days and Bohemian Borders
Old items (but still current) are the Perfect Pennants Stamp set and the Banners Framelits.
I was thinking of a friend that needs cheering up - and when you want to cheer up you don't want depressing colours right? You want something that gives you a warm and uplifting vibe without going overboard. And this sentiment from the Perfect Pennants Stamp set is just right.
Here are the colour combinations I used - feel free to pin this as a reference for the future.
Tips and Techniques:
I used many layers on this card and the first layer I did something a bit different and just showed the bottom and top of the Mint Macaron.
There is only one banner that has been raised which is the one with the sentiment - I want this to be the stand out and focal point of the card.
The Tip Top Taupe layer was feeling a little boring - so I added the Bohemian Borders to add something to that first layer without being overwhelming.
The Dots for Days I have stamped in the three colours Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder and the Mint Macaron - I just used the ink pads to get each colour layer.
You can see the full list of supplies I used below the blog hop list line up.
