Bloom Boutique Floral Thank-You Card

Hello and welcome! Today I’m sharing a floral thank-you card made with the Bloom Boutique Suite Collection. Soft peach tones, colourful flowers and a beautifully textured background come together with a sentiment that says it all: “Your kindness means so much.” 🧡

This card came together during our members-only behind-the-scenes class. I had already coloured and die-cut a selection of flowers while preparing for my earlier Scrappy Strip video, so this was a lovely opportunity to turn those ready-to-use pieces into another project.

A little colouring now, a card ready to make later

I’d done some colouring the night before, and it was really nice to have those flowers ready to go. When I started arranging this card, I could try different pieces without stopping to stamp, colour and cut every time.

If you enjoy colouring, try preparing a small collection of flowers and leaves in one session. You don’t need to decide on every finished card straight away. Having a few extra pieces gives you options when you sit down to put a project together.

A Crisp Cantaloupe background with plenty of texture

The starting point was Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock embossed with the Softly Woven embossing folder. I love the texture this folder adds. It gives the background detail while keeping the colour simple.

On top, I added a scalloped piece of Bloom Boutique patterned paper. Keeping the paper and cardstock in similar peach tones helps the colourful flowers stand out, while the scalloped edge creates a lovely frame for the arrangement.

It’s a useful approach when you’re working with several colours: let the background stay quiet, then bring the colour into your focal point.

Building the floral arrangement

I used flowers coloured with shimmer brushes, along with green leaves and smaller blue blooms. The larger flowers form the centre of the arrangement, while the smaller pieces fill the spaces around them.

There was a little moving things around as I worked! I tried different flowers, adjusted the leaves and separated the blue elements so they weren’t all sitting together.

Before reaching for your adhesive, give yourself time to try a few arrangements. A small change in the angle of a leaf or the position of a flower can make a real difference.

I also added another small flower to create a group of three. Odd-numbered groupings can be a helpful starting point when an arrangement feels as though it needs one more little detail.

Keeping the pieces in place with Press’n Seal

Once I was happy with the layout, I used Press’n Seal to lift the floral arrangement together. This helped me keep the pieces in position while adding adhesive to the back.

I added dimensionals to raise the flowers, placing some across overlapping pieces to help connect them. A little extra adhesive in a few spots kept the arrangement secure.

Take your time when peeling away the Press’n Seal. Coloured cardstock can be a little softer, so gently removing it helps protect all that work.

A thoughtful sentiment and tiny finishing touches

I chose a white heat-embossed “Your kindness means so much” sentiment on Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock. The narrow strip sits across the flowers without covering too much of the arrangement.

Tone-on-tone embellishments add detail without introducing another strong colour. I also added two little butterflies from the 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies, including one on a Hydrangea Hue flower.

Inside the card, I continued the design with patterned paper and a floral detail. It’s a lovely way to use another prepared piece and make the inside feel connected to the front.

What’s in the Bloom Boutique Suite Collection?

The collection brings together stamps, dies, specialty paper, boxes and butterfly accents. Its coordinating colours are Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow, Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine, with gold details in the specialty paper.

  • Scalloped Blooms Stamp Set and Dies.
  • Boutique Blossoms Photopolymer Stamp Set and Dies.
  • Scalloped Window Boxes.
  • 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies.
  • Bloom Boutique 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, with gold foil details.

For this project, I also used the Softly Woven embossing folder and shimmer brushes. These are additional supplies, separate from the suite collection.

A handmade thank you

Sometimes a little kindness deserves more than a quick message. A handmade card gives you space to tell someone what their thoughtfulness meant to you.

If this project has inspired you, start with a few flowers, a favourite patterned paper and a sentiment you’d love to send. You can take the layout in your own direction with the supplies you have.
