I challenged myself this week to create a wedding card using our favourite supplies, and I have to say—I absolutely love the end result!
I started with a classic black card base, then layered white, followed by a layer of black-and-white striped DSP for a bold but elegant look. Next, I added another layer of white, a layer of black, and then the stamping layer.
For the focal point, I stamped the floral image around the stamped panel using versamark, then added black embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool for a stunning embossed effect. Around this, I wrapped some ribbon to add a soft, romantic touch. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing powder—it really pops against the darker layers!
What I love about this card is how it’s bold, yet the theme totally transforms it into a sophisticated wedding design. It just goes to show—you can take your favourite colours and products in a completely new direction!
Wouldn’t this card make a show-stopping addition to any wedding gift? 🖤🤍💐
