When we went to OnStage, fellow Australian demonstrator (Michele Jutrisa) made some beautiful samples using the Watercolour World stamp set. As soon as I saw them, I was VERY excited to get my hands on that stamp set so I could create. Here is the first project I created;
This was A LOT of fun to make!
I used this sheet of DSP from the Fancy Flora DSP Collection as the inspiration for the colour palette;
I used a Crumb Cake card base and then adhered the DSP to the card base. The colours I used are Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent.
I set up the Basic White cardstock on the Stamparatus and using sponge daubers, I added the colour to the stamped image.
The stamparatus is such a great tool! I love how this can apply small bits of ink at a time - and I love how perfectly the colour fits with the DSP.
I love the intricacies of this stamp set. It is such a beautiful watercolour look. Here is a look at the stamp set in a little more detail.
I mounted this onto a piece of Kraft paper and then onto the DSP.
For the sentiment, I used one from the Greatest Journey stamp set. I stamped using Versamark and Kraft and heat set using White Embossing powder.
