At OnStage (a demonstrator only event back in November), Sara and Shelli demonstrated the Delicate Desert Suite. It was something I was interested in before - but AFTERWARDS, it was something that I couldn't wait to create with. I love the stamps! I love the dies! I love the DSP! Here is a project I made with it;
Would you like to recreate this project? Here are the steps;
- Cut Calypso Coral card base - 10.5cm x 29.7cm, score at 14.9cm
- Insert the top layer only of the card base into Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.
- Take piece of Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP and cut out using die (from Desert Details die collection) as shown in sample. Adhere to card base.
- Take piece of Kraft Paper and cut out using die as shown in sample. Adhere to card base using dimensionals.
- Take piece of Very Vanilla and cut to 5.5cm x 8.5cm (2 1/8" x 3 1/4"). Use small die at the top and the bottom of the piece of cardstock to create cut out pattern as shown on sample.
- Using Soft Suede ink and long stamp (from Desert Details stamp set), stamp image at top and bottom as shown on the sample.
- Stamp sentiment using Calypso Coral ink as shown on sample.
- Adhere to card using dimensionals.
I love the mixture of colours and textures, shiny next to rough.....love it! I love the shapes cut out by the dies. What do you think?
