Thank You for All You Are | 'Scrappy' Strip card based on my T-Shirt

Hi There and thanks so much for stopping by today!

During our online event for World Cardmaking Day, I was wearing my fave t-shirt!

I bought this in 2013 in New York. Back then, Uniqlo wasn't in Australia. I had heard of this cool Japanese store and when we were in New York, we visited their flagship store on Fifth Avenue. Uniqlo is now not only in Australia, there is a store at our local shopping centre (and their online store has been keeping me going during the pandemic). Here is a closer look at the T-Shirt;

So, during the event, one of the attendees said 'Bruno - your T-Shirt looks like the Mosaic Technique.'  This, or course, got me thinking ...... can I make a 'Mosaic-Style' card inspired by T-Shirt! Challenge Accepted! Here is the final result;

When I started, I wasn't really sure how I was going to do it..... but I started with a Basic Black Base. I cut 1cm strips in Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Basic Grey, Mossy Meadow and Misty Moonlight. I stuck all of the Whisper White pieces (scrappy strip style). Not every piece runs the full height of the card (you can see that some have Horizontal Black strips). Over the top of the White strips, I added the various colours in random pattern. And, I love how it turned out!

The sentiment is from the Best Year stamp set (see shopping link below). I used White Embossing Powder and the heat tool to set it onto a piece of Misty Moonlight. This was all mounted onto another piece of Basic Black and then again onto a Basic Black card base. Its not the same as my T-Shirt, but its a cool design.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you live in Australia and need any of the products used on todays project, please click on the shopping links below and add them to your collection now.
