Forever Greenery | HELLO | Inspiration from the Stampin' Up! Leaders Summit

Hi There and thanks so much for stopping by today!

On the past weekend, we gathered (virtually) with other Stampin' Up! leaders. This was the first event of its type (in this format) and it was outstanding! The program featured members of the Stampin' Up! leadership team, external speakers and fellow demonstrator leaders in breakout classes. It was simply awesome!

It was during one of the networking session presentation given by Rachel Tessman that Bruno was struck with inspiration.

It was the shirt that Rachel was wearing that made Bruno think 'Im going to make a card out of that!' And, here is the card he made;

STAMPING
  • He started with a piece of Whisper White. Using sponge daubers, Just Jade, Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz was applied in a random pattern.
  • Next, over the top of the dauber-ing, using the Forever Fern stamp set, the images were stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed clear embossing powder.
  • Using the Sponge brayer, Pretty Peacock ink was applied until it was an almost solid colour! I love emboss-resist!
  • The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Pretty Peacock and Heat Embossed using white embossing powder.
ASSEMBLING CARD
  • The stamped piece was then mounted onto a piece of Just Jade and then mounted onto a Pretty Peacock card base.
  • A small piece of Forever Gold laser cut paper was added behind the sentiment and then both were mounted onto the card.

Would you like to see a video of how he created this? Leave a comment below as encouragement for him.

I would also like to hear where you get inspiration for cards from.

  2. Bruno, I am somewhat like you in that I get inspiration from random things not necessarily on paper. Sponging + stamping + heat embossing + ink resist = amazement! Thanks for sharing your card. I’ll try your design but no promises that I’ll actually give it to someone else!!

  7. I would love to watch Bruno make this card. My inspiration for layouts comes mostly from other demonstrators, sometimes from a junk-journaler I watch on YouTube. Sometimes I mix & match design elements but I have 5 layouts I CASE repeatedly (including 2 of Bruno's). I choose colors based on SU designer series paper. Thanks for sharing your talent, Kylie and Bruno!
