Kindness & Compassion Sympathy Card

It is so so sad when you hear of ones that have lost a love one in death. The pain that they must be going through no one really knows but them. I heard of a demonstrator, Sharyn who lost her husband Adam suddenly and unexpectedly recently.

When I heard I put myself in Sharyn's shoes and it made me stop and appreciate that I have Bruno, and how would I feel if he was gone tomorrow. I can't even begin to imagine what that would be like.

At these times it is hard to know what to say or what to do when you know someone who has a loved one that has died. But the worst thing we can do is nothing. To not acknowledge their pain - to not mention their loved ones name again. To not talk about the memories we have of them. That would hurt even more - like they have disappeared. How wonderful we have this wonderful craft to send love and thoughts to those who are in pain.

Here is a card that I made for Sharyn this week. I used the flowers from the Lots Of Happy Stamp set which is from a kit. I thought hey are the most beautiful flowers. The sentiment is from the Kindness & Compassion Stamp set and has so many wonderful sentiments that would bring comfort to those that receive it.

The sentiment is on a strip the width of the Coastal Cabana and the height of the sentiment. I raised the Smoky Slate and Whisper White on dimensionals as well as the sentiment.

I know that this card won't take away the pain that Sharyn is feeling and will continue to feel in the future, but I hope that it can help her to see that others are sharing in her pain and are acknowledging that she must be suffering and going through a really awful time. Knowing we have others thinking of us can keep us going when we don't think we have anything left.
