The DSP is so versatile (in fact, I have a heap of cards using this very paper over the next week or so) and while we may think of this pack of paper as 'The butterfly DSP,' as you can see by this sheet used, there isn't a butterfly in sight! As for the Tea Framelits, this pairs perfectly with the Tea Together Stamp set (one of the MOST POPULAR in the 2019 Occasions Catalogue).

How did I make this?

I first took a sheet of the DSP and stamped the teapot image using Memento Black ink. I then cut out the shape using the coordinating framelit. I was going to leave it like that however, I felt it needed a bit of shading so I grabbed the Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends along with the colour lifter and added some shading. I LOVE how it turned out!

For the sentiment, I white embossed on a piece of Highland Heather at 2.5cm wide and used the Banner Triple Punch and made a cute banner edge.

For the card, I used Thick Whisper White and added a Whisper White layer with a 2mm border all around. I ran this through the BEAUTIFUL new Country Floral embossing folder and stuck this down to the card. I was going to stick the teapot down but I felt that it needed an intermediate layer so I added a layer of vellum (it might be difficult to see in the photo).

Like most cards, this didn't turn out anything like I planned (who am I kidding - did I even have a plan in the first place?).

And you can watch my VIDEO here!! Woo Hoo!! Feel free to pin it to Pinterest too.

  1. Such a great way to use the blends. I wouldn't have thought to use them over DSP like that, but this is a wonderful idea!
