BE CALM - Using the Lilypad Lake Bundle

Hi There! Bruno here taking over the blog for today.

I took part in a team swap and wanted to share with you the card I made for the swap. Here it is;

Ill be honest - when I first saw this stamp set in the catalogue, I turned the page without giving it a second thought. But, then I saw projects made using the bundle and took another look. So, when it came time to make the swap, this was the bundle I thought I would use. FYI - Here are links to our online store in case you want to add to your collection now.

Note: Australian Residents Only

I started with a Bermuda Bay card base. Next, I cut down a piece of whisper white 10cm x 14.5cm and run through the big shot to create the wave pattern in the whisper white. I stuck this down with foam adhesive strips. I think its cool that you can see the bermuda bay through the whisper white.

Next, using Coastal Cabana, I stamped the wave. I actually 'stamped-off' first to have a lighter image and I like how it looks. I stamped the lily pad using memento black in and coloured using Bermuda Bay and Cherry Cobbler. I used both light and dark of both of the colours and then cut out using the coordinating framelit.

I cut out the stamped wave using a circle from the layering circles collection. I also cut out a piece of Bermuda Bay using the same size circle and cut out a smaller circle inside to create the circle frame. i mounted the lily pad using dimensionals.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White and cut out using the framelit. I LOVE this framelit and will be using it more on other projects. The sentiment is such an appropriate one and I know exactly who I am going to give this card to.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
