One of the optional features for the incentive trip each year is being involved in the Service Project.
This year, the service project will benefit the Alaska chapter of Make-a-Wish and the Puget Sound chapter of Big Brothers, Big Sisters (I have hyperlinked those causes in case you want to find out more or want to donate).
How are we assisting?
We have been invited to donate a backpack with various items inside. The items we chose to put in the backpack were for a boy aged 5-10. Here are some pics of the backpack and contents.

What the backpack contains?
- Notebook
- Coloured Pencils
- Story Book - the one I selected is called 'Whats in Your Pocket?' about a Kangaroo
- Activity Book
- Alphabet Stickers
- Spiral Art Workbook (this was one of my favourite pastimes when I was a kid)
- A small version of 'Connect 4'
- A brink bottle
This seems like a small gesture but hopefully it can brighten someones day by receiving it. We are including a card and hopefully we can become pen-pals with the eventual recipient (is it called an e-pal now in the modern email age?) Do you want to see a close-up of the card?

It is Photopolymer so its easier to line up. You can choose to make the house whatever colour you want. And, there is a wide variety of Sentiments to pair with. I selected 'Let the Adventure Begin.' I stamped the images on Whisper White. Here are the colours I used;
I paired the stamped image with a sheet from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper collection and mounted onto an Early Espresso card base. I am really excited about how this card turned out.
