Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Special Guest Cathy Caines

Hello There and thanks so much for stopping by! Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our special guest Cathy Caines. Cathy is part of the Artisan Designer team and a very talented crafter. We will all be CASING - (Copy and Selectively editing) Cathy's work today.

Here are the cards of Cathy's that inspired my card today

A few weeks ago, the second release of Sale-a-Bration products were released. This featured a BEAUTIFUL new bundle. Here is a video explaining more about this bundle that you get FREE when you spend over $180.

How awesome is that Bundle? Remember, that Bundle can be yours FREE during Sale-a-Bration only. The stamp set will never be seen again after the promotion ends.

I knew I wanted to use this fun Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (phew that is a mouthful! lol) But I also wanted to use a set that I haven't used before. So this is the card that I came up with using the layout of Cathy's card to inspire me.

I started with a Soft Suede card base. I used a piece of Crumb Cake and used the Embossing Folder. It is so beautiful - I love the Dynamic Embossing folders by Stampin' Up! They are so beautifully detailed. I was going to mount this onto the card base, butI thought it needed an intermediate layer so I added a thin Whisper White layer.

Now for the stamping..... the Picnic With You Bundle is so cute. There are lots of little stamps and little framelits - I love all of the small coordinating elements as it really makes the bundle versatile. Today, I used Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Berry Burst and Powder Pink to stamp all of the elements.

I cut out all of the stamped elements with the coordinating dies. I used the Adhesive Sheets before I cut the pieces out and this made it so much easier to stick the pieces down. I used the stitched shapes framelits to cut out the white circle element and then mounted this piece onto the card base. I also added a piece of the Burlap Ribbon.

What do you think? Do you have the Embossing Folder? Or the Picnic Bundle? This is just one example of how these products can be used. If you need to purchase them, I have the shopping links below.
