Global Design Project 081 | Colour Challenge

We LOVE colour challenge week over at the Global Design Project. As soon as I saw this challenge I was very excited as I love the fact you get a FREE CHOICE!! I am pretty sure I knew right away which one I was going to use too.... Here are the colours this week;

I just HAD to use my favourite colour with this combo - Which remember is RETIRING very soon. MINT MACARON!!! I hope you have stocked up on the refills and cardstock like I have! I have a feeling that this one will sell out. I used the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle to make my card today and I LOVE it! I am going to miss this colour so much. I really hope that it comes back in a colour renovation. In the mean time I am just going to have to stock up so that it lasts the next ten years just in case it doesn't return.

The Mint Macaron background I stamped with the dragonflies from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to create a textured yet still subtle background for my thinlits to sit on. I cut the dragonfly from the thinlits and cut them in both Night of Navy and Whisper White and then layered them. I love the way the layering makes that dragonfly POP!

The Sentiment is from the Dragonfly Dreams set as well I cut it out using the Tags & Labels framelits. It was too large so I cut one side and then cut the other by moving the thinlit up slightly. Check out my live video tomorrow to see it in action if you don't know what I mean. (Which is highly likely!) This is White heat embossed on the Night of Navy cardstock.

Here are the colours if you would like to pin them for inspiration.

Don' forget inside the card!! I love decorating inside - it mades the card so special and I feel like it isn't complete unless there is something in there that relates to the front of my card. It really doesn't take long to do - but such an impact when you receive a card done like this.

Thanks for joining me today! Make sure you head over the Global Design Project to check out what the other designers have created today. REMEMBER this week is Guest Designer week - so be sure to play along as you may be chosen to be a guest Design Team member next colour challenge.

Join me tomorrow on my Facebook Business page - Kylie Bertucci Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Australia to see my live video where I will show this card and others that I made last week. Including my popular anniversary card with the special EXTRA writing room flip out section! Many have asked how I did that - so be sure to check it out or watch the replay if you can't come live.

  1. lovely! I really like your background choice, matching/contrasting with the focal point of the card.
