Get Well Card using Definitely Dahlia

I have some friends that haven't been well and what a better way to let them know you are thinking of them than to send a card? We all love that sort of mail!

Here is the card I made using the brand new Definitely Dahlia background Stamp set.

The Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron together are such a winner one of my favourite new colour combinations.

The Bitty Butterfly embellished with the Pearl Basic Jewels gives it such an elegant feminine look. The sentiment was from the new hostess stamp set Best thoughts. You can get this by holding one of my online Facebook Parties or by spending $250 in one order and getting it for free.

Tips and Techniques:

(In Australia we use metric measurements)

The card base is Mint Macaron and cut at 10.5cm for a top hinge card.

First layer of Whisper white is 9.5cm x 13.9cm

The next layer is Tip-Top Taupe and is 9.2cm x 13.6cm

The top layer of Whisper White that is stamped on is 8.9cm x 13.3cm

As mentioned above I used the Bitty Butterfly punch and the Basic Pearl embellishments.

When stamping with such a large image it is sometimes good to lay it facing upwards when inking and then stamp onto it - with this card because it was half off the page I found it easier to use the background stamp as I would a smaller stamp and be aware to try and have it a bit lower for the sentiment to have room.

To place the sentiment exactly where I wanted it - I used the stamp-a-majig so that it was straight and perfect. This was stamped in Tip-Top Taupe.
